Hebrews 10:19-25 – The blood is the basis for the new covenant. Jesus told his disciples that his blood was the new covenant. Less than a day after Jesus told his disciples this, Jesus blood was poured out and he died.
We have confidence this morning since we have the blood of Jesus.
We also have a great high priest, Jesus is our perfect high priest is there to defend us, he is our advocate.
God has put in to place the perfect solution for mans problem. He has provided a way for us to be right with him and to walk in closeness with him. It is a new and perfect way.
Three things that we must have. These aren’t nice to haves, they are must haves, necessary if we want to survive as Christians.
- Draw near to the heart of God. We need to have faith and a clean conscience before we can draw near to God. As amazing as it is to be forgiven, it isn’t the final goal. Draw near, approach, keep approaching the Father. Pursue his presence in worshipful surrender.
- Hold fast to your hope. God isn’t going to let go of the rope because he has changed, God is constant, he has been faithful, he is faithful. It is good for us to recognize that God has brought us through things, because he is faithful. We must hold fast to this hope. Don’t make room for doubt.
- Let us consider how we can walk together and help each other. How can we motivate each other to walk closer to God? We need each other more than ever, we need to be encouraging each other and speaking into each others lives.
