Philippians 4:1-23 – In Philippians 2 Paul is saying that it is time to get our minds in sync with the mind of Jesus.

God created us to live in community and to live with other Christians. In chapter 4, Paul says that the church had a problem. Something was amiss between a number of these ladies. Paul begged them to get their minds in sync with the Lord.

Sometimes we aren’t singing on the same key. There are different ways of trying to deal with this. Sing louder. Change your key. The other person changes their key… but the best way to sing on the same key is to both focus on Jesus.

There are times that we aren’t in the middle of the conflict but we see it happening amongst others around us. Paul asked those around these two ladies, who had some kind of issue in their relationship, to help them reconcile.

Hold on to Jesus. Put your faith and your focus on Jesus. Turn from your focus on your sin and focus on your Savior.

The Lord is at hand. Rely on the Lord. This is the best way to deal with our anxieties. Come, cast your burden on the Lord and trust his constant care. What a blessing to be able to take all of our anxieties to the Lord.

There is no greater example than Jesus. Study Him. Focus on Him. Learn from Him. Walk with Him.
