There is a deep reverence with some degree of fearfulness that is necessary in “Fear the Lord.”
Many people today want to only see God’s love, mercy, tolerance, patience etc… Other people go to the other extreme and only picture God as being ready to pounce on man and judge man quickly and finally. Our picture of God needs to include both equally – they both are part of understanding who God is.
We need to have a serious “anxiousness” about the wellbeing of our soul.
Eternity is forever – Once we reach eternity there is not second chance.
God’s anger is fierce, but it is also holy, just, and righteous.
If the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, what is the end of wisdom?
Comfort is for those who “Fear the Lord.”
There are many people who have many fears but don’t fear God.
The answer to fear is not running from God – the answer is in running to God.
