• There are many things we can put our faith in
• Our faith is not in God, not ourselves

Five Essential Elements of our Faith

1. Solid Foundations – 1 Peter 2:4-7, Luke 6:48, Psalm 71:3 – We find this in God, in His word, and in prayer
2. A Sure Hope in the Father – Hebrews 11:1
3. Faith pleases God – Hebrews 11:6
4. Faith sees ahead to the Homeland – Hebrews 11:15,16, Ephesians 2:4-6
5. And Ongoing Relationship with God, Like Enoch – Gen. 5:22,24 –

• God enjoyed being with Enoch
• In this communion with God we join the Heavenly worship

Some Practical Suggestions:

• Turn off talk radio and listen to the Bible
• Consider your music… feed yourself with edifying music that has no hint of evil
• Ask for forgiveness
• Pray for others
• Practice stillness before God
