John 3 – Nicodemus had a lot of questions, questions that we would likely have had in the same situation.
Romans 12 – We come to Christ as a “living” sacrifice.
What am I doing to convert the blessings that are in my life into fruit for the Kingdom? How can I be a partaker with Christ in a substantive way in the Kingdom?
How well are we participating with Christ in His Kingdom? There is no way to come up with a mathematical “conversion rate” for this.
Luke 13:18 – The size of the mustard seed is incredibly tiny. Yet, within that little seed is life, the potential for great return on the effort put into growing it.
The new birth isn’t just a simple thing. Birth is often stressful, painful and requires some labor.
Many of us have come to Christ and we’re pretty messed up, there may be trauma, psychological issues, sin issues, etc… Healing and growing takes time. We are called to become more like Christ and to be more fruitful and productive.
Matthew 18 – We don’t “have to” if we “want to.” If our focus is on becoming more like the master, when we have that kind of humility there will be a “want to” on our part to become more like Him.
We come as little children to Christ. Wanting to learn. Wanting to be like Jesus when we get big. This means filling our time with Jesus, focusing on Christ, instead of ourselves.
Galatians 6:10, Luke 14:26 – We need to develop a strong connection with our local body of believers and fellow believers.
Mark 17 – We do need faith. We will face struggles and satanic strongholds. We will need to pray and fast and battle against the fleshly desires that strive to entangle us.
What is our report card like today? Are the fruits of the spirit flowing out of our lives? Or are there things that we need to crucify and take care of?
