Quotable Quotes
If we have a light this morning it is not something we have created.
Without the sun there is no life. literally almost all things come from the sun. God is the one who created the sun and he is the source of all physical light.
If we were to remove the sunlight for a week, a year, two years… we would have a really hard time living. It would be cold, we couldn’t grow food, etc…
Darkness is the absence of light. When light is taken away there is darkness.
God created light. And Jesus is telling us that we are to let our light shines. This light is from God, it is not a light that we can create. It is a light that comes as a result of being one with Jesus
Conditions for being light: #1 Recognize that God has the right to ownership in our life – every aspect – Because He created us. #2 Joint heirs with Christ – We are joint heirs with Christ if we suffer with Him, and have a passion for His will and truth.
Light shining in our lives always provides good works. They are always a result of a new creation.
Don’t be afraid of who you are as a Child of God. Let your light shine.
Good works will glorify God because they come from Him. Any good work that doesn’t come from God, will only prove to be straw, stubble, hay… things that don’t endure.
What can we do? Recognize we are God’s. Appreciate the light of life. Realize the danger of darkness. Ensure that all the talents and technical parts of our lives are used wisely. Most of all recognize that our mission, in every thing is to glorify God by letting our light shine, not making our light shine but by letting our light shine.
