Jesus calls us to wake up, endure, and overcome. He sees our struggles, our strengths, and our weaknesses. He isn’t impossible to please—He just wants us to be fully committed to Him.
The churches in Revelation give us examples of what pleases Jesus and what doesn’t. Sardis looks alive but is actually dying. Jesus tells them to wake up before it’s too late. Philadelphia is small and struggling, but they stay faithful, and Jesus promises to keep them strong. Laodicea thinks they have everything they need, but they don’t realize they are empty without Jesus. He urges them to see their need for Him and open the door when He knocks.
Jesus isn’t looking to push us away—He loves us, even when we fail. He calls us to endure, to stay faithful, and to overcome with Him. He is victorious, and if we hold on to Him, we will be too.
