Mathew 18:23-35 – Can we live our lives without forgiveness?

1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive our sins. Our sins are removed as far as the east is from the west, not as far as the north and the south.

We needed forgiveness and God has given us forgiveness. Not only at the point of our conversion, but also on an ongoing basis. This is a reality of life, we all need forgiveness.

Jesus is willing to forgive us. When we look at the cross and we see what Jesus did for us it spells forgiveness, over and over, for each and every one of us.

Without this forgiveness we are doomed. God empowers us to forgive.

Forgiveness isn’t saying “oh it doesn’t matter” it is saying “because of what Jesus has done for me I will forgive you.”

Forgiveness is a choice. It isn’t something that comes naturally.

When there has been a hurt, we need to choose to forgive. The healing may take some time, but the forgiveness is the place to start.

Why are we so sensitive? Why are we so easily offended?

We need to be communicative about our hurts and be willing to forgive.

The lack of forgiveness will put up a wall that will cause us great harm.
