The early church was a close-knit community that followed Jesus, shared possessions, and welcomed new members. Preaching was used to help people understand God and grow closer to Him. The Great Awakening was a time when churches became very active, and people read and listened to the Bible to learn about God. Reading Scripture helps us to learn about Jesus and how we should live righteously. The Bereans believed in Jesus after checking if what Paul said was true, and were very noble. Read the Bible, think and learn about it, and try to follow its teachings. Invite others to church to learn about God, just like D.L. Moody and the early Christians did. Ask Jesus to help us find people to use our services.
