Psalm 136:1-26
God is good. Even when we don’t understand.
Colossians 1:12 – God rules over the powers of darkness today, just as he did at the time that these words were written.
All of God’s creation is sustained by his power. All of creation, the milky way, the stars, the oceans, all of it is under the control and is sustained by God.
Isaiah 40:12-20 – How big is God. He weighed out the mountains and the valleys.
We can come together and worship Christ without fear of harassment or fear from persecution. We don’t know how much longer we’ll have this gift and it is important to enjoy it while we have it.
We’ve been blessed with food and the wherewithal to care for our loved ones.
When Jesus told the 10 lepers to go and show themselves to the priest the Bible tells us that they were healed as they went.
Most of them kept running on to the priests. One however remembered the one who had healed him… he returned and with a loud voice he glorified God.
Jesus was grieved that the other 9 didn’t acknowledge his part in their healing.
We are so prone to miss the things that God does in our lives. Instead we tend to think that somehow things worked out because we made it happen.
It’s all about Jesus. We need to be thankful and be thanking him this Thanksgiving season (and every day).
