This morning I want to talk about how to respond to “the gloom and doom,” that exists in this world.

Romans 11:1-5

There will always be a remnant of those who reach out and embrace the grace that is offered to us.

1 Kings 19:1-21

Elijah here seems to be a man that is quite discouraged. In simple terms he was “wore out.” From his point of view he was only one left in all of Israel that was still following the Lord.

In the midst of this, God spoke to him and asked him to go… move on… God still had things for him to do.

Acts 17:16

Our spirits should stir within us when we see the presence of evil in our world.

Psalm 19:1-14, Proverbs 26:16

If we step back and look at Christianity as a whole we should be able to see that there has been a progression of steps to where we are today.

Our job is to “keep on going.” Even thought it seems we may be the only ones who are left following Jesus. We must know that we are not alone, there is a section of people who continue to be dedicated to Jesus.

Revelation 22:12
