Quotable Quotes
The purpose that God has for me is the same that God has for everyone – to lead a life that brings praise and glory to God.
Praising Jesus – It is Jesus we are to praise. Those of us who have trusted in Jesus are to praise Him. Christians praising Jesus is fitting. How should we praise Jesus? Praise God out loud, sing out, play loudly, let it be heard! God is a God of quietness and of sound, He is to be worshiped in silence and in silence. Do it skilfully. Why? Because God is so worthy to be praised. He is true. He is the creator… etc…
Fear the Lord – This fear is a good fear! It is the beginning of wisdom. Who is to fear the Lord? All inhabitants of the world. God is to be respected. Stand back and look at the power of the Lord. Revere Him. A proper fear of the Lord is the answer to all the other fears we have. Fear of the future. Fear of the past. Fear of ______. God is all-knowing. God is all-wise. God is all-seeing. God is all-powerful. God has special grace and help for those who fear Him and hope in His mercy.
Hope in His mercy – Wait in hope for the Lord. He will help and protect us. Trust His holy name. The last verse is a prayer to trust and respect and praise the Lord. It’s a good way to end the chapter.
