Quotable Quotes

God is very aware of our humanity, that we are but dust. We all come to God in the same situation.

God asks for our all… God asks us to do better than our best. This is impossible in our human strength. Outside of the grace of God we cannot live up to that divine standard.

Be transformed – It is not possible to be conformed without the transforming work of Christ. Mind renewal doesn’t just happen. It takes an effort on our part, reading, praying, understanding and doing. Often it means going against the flow, or against what feels right.

Think soberly. Don’t believe you are something special of yourself. Let us all think seriously of the other members of the body and see what God wants us all to do together. We all have gifts, let us give of what we have for the furthering of God’s kingdom.

Maybe God has brought someone with a need into your life. Maybe it is someone who needs food or maybe it is someone who needs Christ. Whatever it be, remember that God has given to you so that you can give to them.

There are so many needs, we cannot meet them all, but we can respond to the needs that come our way. When these needs come into our lives, what is our response?

What can I give Him, Poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd I would bring a lamb,
If I were a wise man I would do my part,
Yet what I can I give Him, Give my heart.

God gave us an unreasonable offering, we have every reason to give Him our hearts.
