Texts: Luke 2; Ephesians 1:4,12,23,24; II Corinthians 9:12; Numbers 14:21; Habakkuk 2:14 Ephesians 4:15,16

Who are we and what are we doing here?
I belong to the King and I’m here to do the Father’s business

God is working on a huge story
His business becomes our business

We have made the decision that we’d rather serve Jesus, than serve ourselves
God’s primary purpose for saving you: for His praise to the glory of His name

What is the Father’s Business?

  1. That the praise would flow
  2. That the world would know
  3. That the Church would grow

The further we get from Christ’s example of dying for His brothers, the further we get from the Biblical model of the Church
If all you do in life is to plug yourself into your Church – love it, pray for it, serve it – that is not a wasted life
God’s business is everywhere
