John 7:37-38 – Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
2 Timothy 1:1 – We are not born with a spiritual life that is vibrant, but we may partake of it if we ask of Jesus, coming unto him and drinking. When this life becomes part of us we cannot not be changed by it.
John 1:1-16 – Jesus is the exact representation of who God is to us.
Do you possess this life?
Jesus doesn’t just possess life. He is life!
Do you know what its like to be outside of the will of God and the things of God seem boring, tasteless and a drudgery and then when you experience true repentance a desire is born?
Jesus wants you and I to possess this life. It isn’t that hard… its a matter of putting down our flesh and saying “yes” to God.
He came to those who were “his own.” Most of them didn’t receive him, but to those who did receive him, to them he gave the power to become the sons and daughters of God.
John 10:10 – How do we take possession of this life? It’s through faith. It’s through believing in His name. This isn’t just a mental “I believe.” It is a real saving faith.
Faith is the vehicle that carries the life of Jesus into our lives.
John 5:24 – Hearing and believing… these things lead to life.
Jesus modeled what this life is supposed to look like – full of grace and truth.
Jesus wants to be “dressed” with you. As you go about your daily life, Jesus wants to be the life within you. It will come out… it will make a difference.
Galatians 2:20 – Christ liveth in me.
Numbers 14:1-12 – Why do some Christians not demonstrate the life that is in Christ Jesus?
The life which was in Christ Jesus is intended to be a part of the life of the Christian. How full is your reservoir tonight? How plentiful is the flow coming out of your heart and life?
