Job 13:15 – The times we live in can be confusing. It is important to stop and analyze life and to choose to trust God. This is the point that all of us need to come to.

God is the only one who is truly trustworthy. Life can get very confusing and we might not know what’s going on… God can seem distant at times. It is in those times that we need to come to the place where we can say, “I will trust God regardless…”

We need to especially be here for our young people, as examples, as role models, as confidants, to support and lift up their hands. Everyone makes their own choices, but let us not have to look back in 10 years and ask if things could have been different if we had been willing to stand with our young people.

Hebrews 12:1-2 – Life is like a race. The reward is at the end of the race. In the middle of the race is the sweat and fatigue that is associated with the race.

Abraham trusted God, even in the most difficult thing that he was asked to do, offer his son on the altar – the very son God had promised him.

We must be careful to not allow the things around us to rob us of the time and energy and interest in the things of God. We need to stop and analyze our lives with God’s help to get an idea of where we are.

It wasn’t until the priests entered the water of the swollen and flooded Jordan that God parted the waters. It looked impossible as they walked towards the river… but God had told them to cross the river and He did take care of the details – when they trusted that He would.

Satan doesn’t show us where things will take us. Lots life ended in a really sad place. We can trace that back to where he started making poor choices and took the land that looked best and included Sodom and Gomorrah.

2 Corinthians 4 – Life can be tough. He speaks of trouble on every side… and yet he found strength in his faith and trust in God. Paul said he was pressed down, but he wasn’t pinned down. Although it looked like there wasn’t a way out of his situation he believed that God always provides a way.

Can we trust God? Can we trust that what God says in the Bible is true?

God is looking for people who will trust Him and commit to following Him, regardless of if we have to go it alone and stand by ourselves.

Do we want the road that leads to life?

We may not find all the answers in this life, but we can trust in God and know that He will lead us to the correct place. Like a father asking his child to “jump and trust me to catch you” God often asks us to do the same… trust Him for the outcome.
