- Great fear
- Great announcement
- Great joy
- Great audience – all people
- Great timing – Jesus was born at the right time, even though for Mary and Joseph it may have seemed like the worst possible timing.
- A Great savior is born, that is the key to all of this announcement.
- Philippians 2 – Jesus was born in great humility
- Great praise – There was one angel giving the initial announcement and then there was a great multitude praising God!
The Announcement Results
- There is going to be glory to God in the highest
- There is going to be peace
Jesus saves us from eternal separation from God.
We’ll never get done learning about our Savior. He is beyond finding out, yet we can learn things about him.
We should proclaim the savior, telling the story to others.
2 Corinthians 5 – Salvation, a gift from God. God is making his appeal to the world through us.
Our response should be to seek him, to find him, to learn more about him and to proclaim and praise him.
