Ephesians 4:1-16

Salvation is a gift from God. None of us are worthy in and of ourselves. It is only through Christ that we can live a changed life walking as Jesus would have us to.

At Christmas time there is often a pile of gifts, different shapes, different sizes, different things. The church is like this as well. We all get “general gifts” but we also receive special gifts as children of the most high God.

2 Corinthians 12, Romans 12, Ephesians 4, 1 Peter 4… all these scriptures talk about gifts.

The Holy Spirit bestows upon each believer such gifts as he wills for the building up of the body of Christ.

Wherever we are, we are called to “fill our slot.” That slot can seem overwhelming, it can seem mundane, but it all looks different if you realize that God has put you there for a reason.

We all have gifts that we can share with those around us.

Spiritual gifts are like muscles, if we don’t exercise them and use them they get weaker. If we do exercise them we can expect them to grow!

As we go about our days, let’s come to God and ask him to help us see those who need the gifts that we have.
