Colossians 2:20-23 – We can wear the right clothes yet be immoral and evil within our hearts. Often we learn to perform whether we are right with God or not.
2 Timothy 2:15 – Study takes time and commitment. How can we learn to meet God’s approval? Study the scriptures.
John 14:15 – God’s approval comes when we obey. It doesn’t come from a performance… it comes from obedience.
How do we find God’s approval? Do we make every effort to live for the approval of God?
Joshua 9:17 – Own up to your mistakes and weaknesses. Confession is huge. Honestly facing the things that we’ve failed at is important.
Nehemiah 9:3 – These people were serious about knowing God’s word and confessing all the filthiness and nastiness that had accumulated in their lives.
How hard do we resist the constant downward drag of the world around us? We can become calloused and desensitized very easily.
Do not be ashamed of the way the you are building your christian life. People are watching.
Luke 19:8 – Making full restitution is the only way to get victory and to have peace. It is worth it to be able to lay your head down at night and have complete peace.
Psalm 34:19 – The joy of being forgiven is very special.
Hebrews 2:11 – The walk to freedom is something that we should always be able to remember, it should be etched in our hearts and minds. It is more than a road, it is a release.
