Micah 6:8, Colossians 3:12-16, Philippians 2:3-5
We, as Christians are to “have the mind of Christ.”
Mathew 11:28-30
Jesus is the perfect model of humility.
There is another model of “humility.”
Isaiah 14:13-14
Ever since the fall of man, we have known about both models of humility. Both pride and humility.
True humility begins with a bowing before God and acknowledging him. Humility abounds in a heart that has crucified self and pride.
When we are truly walking in humility we see the people around us in a completely different light.
Christian humility is not natural. Pride is a natural approach to life.
Our view of God and ourselves depend largely on our humility and our pride.
Psalm 36:1-2, Proverbs 30:12, Jeremiah 9:23-26, Romans 12:1-2
It isn’t enough to just be “not like the world.” Jesus wants us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
As we walk humbly with our God we see ourselves more clearly. We can see better where we fit in the body of Christ.
