You and Your Brotherhood
Sermon Text
Romans 12:1-17
1 Corinthians 3:9
Whenever we don’t appreciate the church we begin to back away from the church…and when we back away from the church we can often say “I don’t like what I see.”
We are to share our brotherly love.
If you don’t have love, don’t let that be an excuse. Ask God to give you love.
When we are working in the church we need to remember that we are working for the glory of God.
When we cease to pray for one another we sin against one another.
There can be no fellowship without relationship.
John 15:15
If we are friends, we are going to share with each other. Honesty and openness. A willingness to trust.
What happens when there are misunderstandings?
Galatians 6:10
Proverbs 6:19
Mathew 5:23, 24
We must do all we can to try and make peace in the brother hood.
Rejoice with those that rejoice and weep and with those that weep.
We are a body and we need to work together.
2 Samuel 9
The example of Mophibisheth. Helping each other to the King’s Table.
Let’s try to act with God’s help like God’s sons at the king’s table.
There are times when it becomes necessary to move to another congregation. But take care not leave with unsolved relationship problems.
