The Beauty of Chastisement

Hebrews 12:6-29

God chastens us because he loves us. We are part of his household and he wants to have the best sons and daughters that he can. Because of his desires for our good, he chastens us.

Psalm 23:4

Our willingness to accept the chastisement of the Lord is linked with how much we realize we are hopelessly lost without it.

Chastisement is God’s way of directing and bringing about purpose in the lives of His children.

Chastisement isn’t always joyous, but the results are worthwhile.

Romans 8:15-17
