Struggle is a theme from Genesis to Revelation. There is a worship that God delights in and there is one that He doesn’t. There is one that He accepts and one that He does not. Truly worship expands beyond what we do on Sundays.

How do we prepare to worship? Most of us dressed up a little bit, combed our hair, etc. Who taught us that these things are necessary for worship? We need to understand that there are other things necessary for worship.

Revelation 4 – Worship is a matter of the heart, long before it is a matter of Sunday morning. We don’t worship perfectly here on earth. In heaven worship is continual, and it is perfect. Hearts are pure, the object of worship is clear and present, there is no distraction.

We’re not there yet, we are still here on earth, making decisions and worshiping here.

Ourself gets in the way of true worship more than anything else can or will. The only thing we can do is go and lay it down on the altar.

Scriptures mentioned – Revelation, Genesis, Exodus 33, Isaiah 6, Ephesians 2:18, John 4:23
